TOYBOX Team Members Present at a Conference for Indigenous Youth
March 27th, 2024
The recent Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs (AMC) Youth Conference welcomed TOYBOX team members Madison Young, Taylor Bear, and Mikaila Collins, who presented "ToyBox: Collaboration and Community Engagement" to attendees from communities around Manitoba.
Youth learned about the goal of ToyBox, learning outcomes, and community engagement opportunities. Through interactive discussions, participants shared childhood experiences and brainstormed ideas for engaging activities for children in their communities.
The brainstorming session provided valuable insights, with participants contributing ideas for games and learning activities for young children. These suggestions are now being formatted into TOYBOX strategies.
The TOYBOX team extends their gratitude to the AMC for the opportunity to share their project and looks forward to collaborating further with new connections. Their aim is to inspire youth to support learning initiatives within their communities.
